Throwback of the Month

Breaking The Silence on Mental Health

This month’s YouTube throwback is all about breaking the silence on Mental Health. According to SADAG (South African Depression & Anxiety Group), there are 23 known suicides a day in South Africa, and for every person that commits suicide, 10 have attempted it. Suicide death rates are now 24 per 10 000 people, with male deaths being five times higher than female deaths.

Mental Illness and Depression are silent killers, first your voice… and then your life. Healing comes with acknowledgement. A letter, a single word or sentence. Speaking up, sharing YOUR story can save a life.

We hope this will encourage those who need encouragement in this season!

Much love!
