I am doing a Data Engineering Learnership at Umuzi Academy, where I am focusing on studying data infrastructure and pipelines. Throughout this program, I have successfully conducted over 100 peer code reviews, engaged in unit testing using TDD and BDD methodologies, and gained experience in refactoring and debugging code.
I have acquired skills in Database design using PostgreSQL. I have hands‑on experience with REST APIs that directly interact with database design using SQLAlchemy and I am proficient in designing, building, and consuming REST APIs.
The program has taught and given me hands-on experience on how to Extract data from various sources, Transform it so that it is clean and in
the right format, and Load it into various databases and applications so that it can be useful.
