We kicked off the month of March 2022 on a falsetto. We welcomed cohort 33 to the Umuzi movement. They are such a cool and talented bunch of individuals. Get to know them better, watch their intro videos here.
March also marked the end of the learning Journey for our C27 & C29 recruits. They are heading off to work experience with their respective partners 2U & BBD Software.
Let’s see what else this month’s Kicker has in store for us.

Alumni Making Moves
Our very own Thoko-Ntsiki Bucibo from C26 Copywriting, had the pleasure of writing the most spicy copy for Wimpy. The Bambanani Stokvel just got a major upgrade! Check out the advert below.
Big ups to TK and we’re so proud of you.
African Coding Network
The African Coding Network has partnered with the European Business University (EBU) of Luxembourg to bring an exciting learning opportunity to African youth— especially women— who wish to build the skills needed to be successful entrepreneurs.
The European Business University has put together a 13-week programme, with 10 courses focused on digital, tech, and entrepreneurship skills. Check it out on the EBU Website. The Luxembourg government is sponsoring the scholarships valued at €750. However, successful candidates will have to pay a ‘commitment fee’ of 20 euros for the programme.
The courses will start in June 2022. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis, accepting applications until April 30th.
Throwback of the Month
Moriri - Let’s talk Hair
With so many perceptions out there on how hair should look like or what it should mean, maybe it’s time we started asking what does your hair mean to you?
Enjoy!
