Embarking on the Umuzi journey initially appeared daunting, yet it swiftly became evident that this was my best career decision.

In what felt like a blink of an eye, my upskilling at Umuzi concluded, leading me to a new adventure with BBD Software’s internship program.

Same as Umuzi's journey, the initial days with BBD were intimidating. However, after a month and a half, I can confidently assert that it’s been a worthwhile endeavour, far less intimidating than expected. This is mainly due to BBD’s excellent onboarding process. Rather than diving headfirst into the complexities of a project’s codebase, they allocated a full month for additional learning and project development. This solidified my knowledge from Umuzi and armed me with advanced technical skills in preparation for my integration into a client project team.

The past month and a half have taught me that the only limits are those you place on yourself. With the right mindset, any destination is reachable, and any role is attainable. BBD doesn’t just provide the tools for professional growth; it fosters a collaborative and mutual support environment where you can reach out to anyone outside your team for help or guidance.

As I continue my journey here, I’m eager to absorb as much wisdom as possible from the collective expertise surrounding me, recognising that growth knows no bounds.
