A couple of weeks ago we got to chatting to Silas, a second-year medical student from Nigeria and a standout member of the ACN community. While pursuing a medical degree at Obafemi Awolowo University, Silas took on the Meta React Native Specialization course, demonstrating his commitment to both medicine and technology.

Silas joined the coding world in April 2022 and found the React Native course immersive and interesting. Despite the demands of medical studies, he completed all eight sub-courses, and he did the damn thing.

We learnt that Silas has already secured two positions— interning at HNG for mobile app development and receiving a job offer from Spoovest Inc., a fintech company.

Juggling medical and tech studies, Silas faced challenges but persisted, even coding on his phone. He credits his success to the support of friends and family, encouraging others to seek emotional support in their journeys. ❤️
